    Congratulations!

I loved all three of the Darcy series and bought them to donate to my local library - then did so again when I moved.  Like all your other fans I cannot wait for your next book but in the meantime congratulations on this wonderful addition!

    Best regards and best wishes,

    Anita

I think the audio books are great - the only thing which could improve them would be to have Matthew Macfadyen himself do the narration!

    His voice is sooo wonderful.

Still hoping for a "post-marriage" story about fitz and lizzy, although at the moment I can't wait for the rest of the "Master Darcy" book!

    Congratulations!  Yea for audiobooks!

Am burning TTR to CD as I type this.  It's so exciting it makes me feel giddy.  What could be better than listening to fanfic as I drive?  And very convenient timing too, as I'm starting graduate school this semester and will be making many hour-long drives between Stone mountain and Athens, GA and I need something new to listen to.  Very, very excited about this.  Thanks so much and congrats!

I echo the comment above except I substitute CF for MM: I think the audio books are great - the only thing which could improve them would be to have Matthew Macfadyen himself do the narration!

I do like the guy's voice, though.

And I agree also with this one: Still hoping for a "post-marriage" story about fitz and lizzy, although at the moment I can't wait for the rest of the "Master Darcy" book!

Again, Yay and congratulations!  Can't wait to drive to work tomorrow listening to An Assembly such as this!

    Thanks and best wishes!

wow, can i just say that you rock?  you'll pardon me, i hope, for using such an overused phrase, but it's pretty much the truth.  i really, really enjoyed your books, and when i had read the first one twice, i began to panic when the hold list for the next two at my library was a million miles long, i rushed out and bought them.  i hope you'll continue your writing.  you create such interesting characters (which i think should get their own novels) and you have such a lovely writing style that makes me hesitant to put your books down.  god bless, and for his sake, keep writing!

When are you going to post a new chapter on YMD?

@mariannewal - How did you manage to burn to CD. I have tried and tried but cannot make it happen. Assumed it was protected, but maybe I'm just lame. Advice?

Congratulations, Ms. Aidan. Loved reading your books (even before they were published!) and I'm so enjoying listening to them on my iPod. Wish I could listen in the car as well (long Thanksgiving and Christmas drives coming up!). You are an amazingly gifted writer. I wish you continued success in your Darcy series (loving "Young Master" so far and can't wait for more!). All the best.  Amy Z

    @AmyDZ2 -

Somehow in itunes it gave me the option when I first imported it into itunes if I wanted to put it on a mp3 player or put it on a CD and I chose 'burn onto cd' and 14 cds later, it was done.  the only difficult part is that the tracks are done by chapter, so they're about 60 minute tracks.

I have not yet tried to put them back on my computer from the CDs, and I haven't successfully managed to get them on my mp3 player yet.  Maybe it will only let you put them on one device?  I'm not sure.  I may play around more with it. Good luck!

Did you put it on an ipod or mp3 player first?

@mariannewal - I downloaded and opened the file using iTunes. So it went into my iTunes library. I made a playlist for it and tried to burn my playlist (I've never had a problem with that method before), but it kept giving me an error message. So I tried opening the file in a wav file. It looked like that was going to work, but alas error message again. What a bummer. Even my IT guy at work couldn't get it done for me. He suggested that it might be protected (which kinda makes sens, but not really, since I did pay for the download...) oh well.

Do you have your iPod set to work on more than one computer? Maybe try loading the CD files onto another computer. Open you D: drive through the Explorer using iTunes as your player. That should allow you to store in the library on that computer and transfer files to iPod.

Make CD back-ups (I know it takes forever!) before trying to load into the iTunes library! You don't want to lose the CD's (because then you, like me, will have to drive all the way to Tennessee and Florida with nothing to listen to in your car!)

    Best of luck. Amy

I too, am eagerly waiting for Chapter 3 of Young Master Darcy. However, I realize that life intervenes in our plans from time to time. I hope your son in Iraq is still alive and well. Or better, that he has come home for good! Best wishes for good writing conditions.

    Dear Pamela,

It's been ages since I last wrote to you. I am happy to see the trilogy is having such a success. I am one of those who first saw it as a fanfic, and since then one of the best, at the DWG.

I second the motion that the audiobook would be even better with CF reading it, after all, your story was created partly with him in mind, wasn't it? :)

I have come also to congratulate you because the first book of the trilogy has been translated and published in Spanish (my native tongue) as Una fiesta como esta. There are almost no Austen sequels printed in that language. I really hope it will be a success too in Spanish and we willl be looking forward to the other two.

    Best wishes,

Hi, I am not sure if you check your xanga site.  I rarely do mine.  My wife and I enjoy reading together and found your three novels very well done.  Here's to hoping you will keep writing.

I am now listening to These Three Remain (in a marathon listen) and have thoroughly enjoyed them. I never heard of this narrator before, but will look for him in future. The voice is perfect!
